Yujin Kim_Final

Still need to be polished but this is what I have done for this semester. It was really happy to take this class with you guys and David :).

Jacob Moreno: CreaAnim - Turn In

This is how it came out, I'll probably work on the back feet more. I kind of bake the animation to add dirt, last night. And that made editing a little tricky even with animation layers. Hope everyone has a great winter.

Happy Holidays everyone :)

Nicholas Prufer Final

Hey Everyone!

Here is my final scene. Polished it to no end but I am sure there is going to be something that I will need to touch up later. If you have any comments or critiques please let me know. Even though the school semester is finishing I will continue working on this scene next semester. I also cut down the animation for the purposes of this class. If you wish to see it in context just let me know that way I can upload the my entire thesis.
Thanks everyone for a great class!

David Baker WIPs Dog

Fixed a lot of the shapes, having a hard time with the body being on the ground and counter animating the torso so he doesn't dip through the floor.

Paulina Gomez CA

Hi guys :D
Well, I've been working on:
  •  the acting beats before the wolf picks up the crown
  • having the feet not slide around when the wolf is walking
  • the front paws when the wolf jumps on the rocks
I know I'm kind of all over the place but i swear I have a system :D

Also, I know the following things are weird:
  • there's a weird glitch before the wolf starts walking
  • the back paws go into the rock geometry when the wolf is jumping
if you see something that is not here please let me know :D

Hi Guys!!! As I go to polishing stage I really need eyes on this assignment because I've been seeing this over and over so I might missing something. I fix the jump and the balance when the fox downhill and crossing as he gets closer to the eggs. During jumping I also fix the head/eye direction as he facing the goose.

Hi, This is not a latest version but basically same :) I will update soon

Baker is WIPing It

Cleaned up a lot of my keys, tried to make it flow better. After I get the base ani where I want it I'm going to start hitting the secondary actions in the tail door, ears and face. Then end with adding ani layers to spice it up.
Problem area is how he falls, I don't know if the impact is hard enough.

Hi guys...I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving :D Also good luck with all your final projects :D

Part for critique

This is the part I'm interested in receiving critique :) Especially the walk cycle, I know it feels like it's sliding a bit :/

This is the syncsketch link for all those interested :D

In case you're curious here's the complete version of my scene..I'm still working on the transition from the acting to the walk cycle so I know that it does a weird thing.

Baker David

Add a little to the front, took off a lot from the back. Re-did the doggy door, added main door movement. Been fixing foot placement. Still struggle with the arm shapes as he's pulling them up when he is on the ground, I'm also getting this jagged lump coming out of his butt when he's scrunched up, which seems to be connected to the left leg, struggling to fix it without having to repaint the weights.

Linius Gunardi CA

Hi Guys!!! Good to see you here!!! Here's my latest version of my creature animation. you are welcome to give critique and comments on this post. I fixed the timing of the jump and poses from the anticipation and still working on the impact when the fox hits the ground. Future plan is get all the feet lock on the ground and start animating goose.

Hi guys! for this assignment I have to go back few steps to get my legs lock with the ground and I have adjusted the timing with the ground speed. I fix some posing of the fox especially for the jumping anticipation. I need more comment for this, mainly for timing and posing! since I didn't come to class today. So don't hesitate to write down your comments! Thanks!!

INSTRUCTOR POST - Welcome to Fall 2015!

Welcome to the AAU Fall Semester of 2015

There are hidden instructions in this post to test if you read it entirely!

This is a persistent online site I use to allow students in my class to solicit and offer feedback on their animation. There are a few important notes;

1. This blog is as helpful as you make it. Be active with comments, post your work regularly and take advantage of this venue. Monitor this site at least once a week. I will use this as a forum to make general announcements and answer common questions, so you don't want to miss out. Any post from me will have "INSTRUCTOR POST - ..." in the title: make sure you read them carefully.

2. I use participation here as part of your class participation mark. Participation accounts for 20% of your total grade! If you're shy this is a great way to be involved in the classroom discussion. You get points for posting your work or for giving feedback on other people’s animation. Bonus question: ask me right now how to get 100% on your participation grade!

3. Title each post with your name, for example: “David Latour: Blocking Pass 1”. Your blogger ID may not be something I recognize. You don't want to miss out on participation marks when you post here.

4. Conduct yourself here as you would in the class. Play nice with others and be supportive and constructive with your comments. Limit the posting to information relevant to the class.

Even If you're new to blogging you'll find this a pretty painless and straightforward process. If you have something from class you'd like to show, use the following steps:

  • Playblast your work (16:9 ratio, 960x540, convert to .mov, with H264 compression)
  • Click the 'insert a video' button and browse to your movie file.
  • Be sure to put your first name in the post title.
  • You're done!
  • continue reading to see how you can adjust your video size to fit nicely on the page.
  • (additional instructions to share video from another site
  • Post the movie file on any video streaming site (YouTube, Vimeo)
  • Copy the “embed HTML” from the streaming site
  • In blogger click "new post" on the upper right corner of the screen and click on the "edit HTML" tab on the top right of the new post and paste the code in the window. (You can edit the html so that the video size is 600 x 337, to fit nicely within the blog interface.)
  • Pro tip: Go HERE to see how to remove related videos at the end of your post. Snazzy!

5. Blogger works best with Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome. If you have technical issues: try switching your browser. Make sure you login with the Google ID that you were invited with or you won’t be able to post or comment.

6. Check out SyncSketch: a great tool for posting your work and getting feedback. We're going to make use of this handy website occasionally through the term.

Every time someone adds a new post or comments on an existing one, I get a direct email. I try to look in here regularly and offer critique and guidance as well. This blog will be available to you as space allows, which means you will be able to continue posting here after the end of term. (You may even see former students offering feedback here.)

Welcome to the blog and have a great time.

*Your first assignment:  Post your name in the comments of this welcome message with a sentence or two about what you hope to learn in this class.

Baker_David_CA

I didn't get too much further from last week, maybe a foot placement change here and there. This past week I made the door rotatable, rigged the doggy door, and created abxpicker for wolfdog and the doggy door.

Jacob Moreno: CreaAnim - Pass 2

Critique Wanted:
- Character physics including weight and balance
- Posing/Timing
- Character performance (matching dialogue to character)
- Set Dressing
Note:
- Haven't done too much with the latter half of the animation past the pounce.
SyncSketch

Nicholas Prufer Week 10

So here is my new version. I am mainly trying to get the timing right. If you think its still too slow, I will compress the timing of the actions but the more I change with timing, the more I need to adjust the constraints and the posing. SO hopefully I can nail the timing soon so I can focus on posing. Thanks you!

Paulina- final animation progress

Hi guys...so I have two videos to show, the main animation and a walk cycle

Main Animation

I will replace the turn since I don't like it at all...if you guys could focus then on the jumping to the rock it would be awesome :)

Walk Cycle

In this walk cycle...I'm still working on the details of the feet (such as the peel-off and the ankles) so don't worry about them, I know they look weird...but everything else is fair game :)

Genaro Barrios

Yujin Kim

Here is my animation for this week. I am currently working on the basic in-between animation after the trot cycle and before the jump. And I need to add some animation for the first part.

Krystal Huynh. CA week10

Hi guys, here's my animation for the week. I haven't worked a lot on the acting at the start (before the creature moves down), but any other sort of critique is welcomed! I am especially suspicious of his spine.

Thanks in advance!

Horse trot WIP!
Hey guys! I've seem to have forgotten how to change the FPS in references. Mine is 15 frames per second, and I'd like to change it to 24. How do I do this? Thanks!

Hey everyone!
Let me know how its looking. I was a little bored this weekend so I decided to animate further than week 1... I saved in increments so if I need to go back a few stages, it shouldn't be too hard :)
